What are the necessities for moving into your first house?
Need? Very, very little. A bed, sheets, a table, a chair, some basic crockery and utensils. A cupboard, if one isnt built-in. Im assuming the place already has a working kitchen and bathroom. Everything else you probably already have - clothes and gadgets, soap and a table lamp etc. When you start buying things for this house, like a coat rack or a nice sofa, a few paintings and some nice jars to put all your herbs and spices in, those are no longer things you need. That doesnt mean you shouldnt buy them, but choose them carefully, and if youre at all intrigued by the concept of living minimalistically one day, then try not to let it get out of control - it makes reducing your stuff later in life much harder.
